Pohang is a well-known steel city that led to the modernization
of the Republic of Korea.
In recent years, Pohang has been striving to create a good ecosystem
for businesses to overcome the crisis of the steel industry and to
make technology innovation of SMEs a top priority.
Also with the 4th Generation Light Source we own as the
third country in the world and by diversifying the regional
industrial structure by fostering five new industries including
biotechnology, titanium, robots, marine resources, and ICT fusion
and complexation driven by the abundant R & D infrastructure, we are
preparing for the new era of the 4th industrial revolution.
We are also focusing on revitalizing the marine culture
tourism industry such as marine sports, leisure culture, and marine
tourism with the conviction that our future depends on the good use
of sea, which is the natural condition of our Pohang.
We would very appreciate more concern and encouragement to
open the future of Pohang together which is leaping to become the
continuously developing center city of the cities East sea Rim.
